Huff was a lumber dealer who had yards in <br /> Decatur and 7 outlying towns. The Huffs sold the house in 1912 to William McGinley, an <br /> attorney. From 1915-1930, it was owned by Andrew M. Kenney, president of the Citizens <br /> National Bank. In 1931, the house was returned to the Huff family. In 1961, the title • <br /> passed to Dorothy Huff Morey, daughter of the W. L. It could <br /> also be considered to meet criterion A since it is associated closely with the development <br /> of Park Place, an event that made a significant contribution to the pattern of development <br /> in Decatur. It also appears to meet criteria d and h of Decatur's Landmark designation <br /> Comments: ordinance for its architecture. In addition, it would also be a building of <br /> special significance in any historic district that may be established in the <br /> Parkview area.
