* including any loss of passenger's personal property, <br /> however such loss may occur. <br /> ** or, the operation of the vehicle lift or ramp equipment, or, <br /> the transfer of the passengers to or from the vehicle or to or <br /> from their final destination. <br /> 8. The CONTRACTOR'S driver shall inspect the van each morning <br /> and insure that the lights, wipers, brakes, turning signals and other <br /> systems are in proper working condition. Any defects shall be <br /> reported to DPTS. <br /> . C NTRACTOR shall re ort an accident defect or mechanical <br /> 9 O p y , , <br /> failure involving the van to the DPTS dispatcher as soon as <br /> possible, so that appropriate action can be taken. <br /> 10. CONTRACTOR shall assist in the loading and unloading of <br /> disabled passengers, as well as their parcels and personal effects. <br /> 11. CONTRACTOR'S drivers will avoid any undue delay, either at <br /> point of pick-up or enroute and shall strive to pick up Program <br /> patrons within 5 minutes of the scheduled time. <br /> 12. The van shall not wait for Program riders for more than five (5) <br /> minutes at any point beyond the scheduled pick-up time. <br /> 13. CONTRACTOR shall account for all patrons transported and shall <br /> maintain accurate trip sheets, and upon request, other data which <br /> will provide sufficient information to permit evaluation of the <br /> Program by the CITY, Contractor Administrative Staff and the <br /> Federal and State Governments. <br /> 14. CONTRACTOR shall permit the CITY, the U.S. Department of <br /> Transportation and the Illinois Department of Transportation to <br /> review and/or audit all records pertaining to this program. <br /> 15. The Program will observe the following holidays: <br /> New Year's Day Labor Day <br /> Memorial Day Thanksgivin� Day <br /> July 4th Christmas Day <br /> 4 <br />
