Marley, P.E., Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: Three Year Agreement with Bainbridge, Gee, Milansl�i, and Associates, Inc <br /> (BGM) to Perform General Engineering Services in Support of the Sanitary <br /> Sewer System, <br /> City Project 2016-OS <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached Resolution authorizing the Mayor to <br /> sign, and the City Clerk to attest, a Professional Engineering Services Agreement between the City <br /> of Decatur and Bainbrid e, Gee, Milanski, and Associates, Inc. (BGM) to provide general <br /> g <br /> engineering services in support of the sanitary sewer system for a fee not to exceed $30,000. <br /> IL A TI N: <br /> PRIOR COUNC C O <br /> • September 21, 2015 — The City Council authorized an Administrative Consent Order <br /> between the City of Decatur and the United States Environmental Protection Agency, <br /> requiring the City to undertake and complete the Compliance Requirements specified in <br /> the attached Administrative Consent Order. <br /> • September 21, 2015—The City Council authorized a Professional Engineering Services <br /> A reement between the Ci of Decatur and AECOM Technical Services, Inc. to assist the <br /> g tY <br /> City in preparing the sewer system reports and tasks required by the Administrative <br /> Consent Order, for a fee of$456,620. <br /> SANITARY SEWER PRIORITIES: <br /> Under the direction of the City Council, the Public Works Department has established four <br /> priorities to improve the City's sanitary sewer collection system as defined in the Sanitary Sewer <br /> Master Plan. <br /> 1. Critical Large Diameter Sewer Rehabilitation. <br /> 2. Sanitary Sewer Overflows Due to Inflow and Infiltration. <br /> 3. System Operation and Maintenance <br /> 4. Small Diameter Sewer Rehabilitation <br /> The general engineering services agreement with BGM will assist in the City's efforts in all areas <br /> of the sanitary sewer system. <br /> Page � 1 <br />
