None. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 NEW BUSINESS <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Item #1 Request for stop signs at the intersection of Illinois Street/Lincoln Avenue <br /> 26 facing Lincoln Avenue. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 <br /> 29 City staff received a complaint about the intersection of South Illinois Street and East Lincoln <br /> 30 Avenue claiming that the lack of traffic control has resulted in accidents at this intersection. <br /> 31 Upon reviewing accident reports it was seen that there had been five accidents reported at this <br /> 32 intersection within a three year period. Four of the accidents were results of vehicles entering <br /> 33 the intersection at the same time from conflicting directions. These types of accidents may be <br /> 34 correctable by adding stop signs. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 City staff performed traffic counts at the subject intersection and determined that Illinois Street <br /> 37 carries the higher volume of traffic and the higher speed traffic. There are about 717 vehicles <br /> 38 entering the intersection daily. With four correctable accidents, this results in 5.09 accidents <br /> Page � 1 <br />
