CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS <br /> CITY PROJECT 95/3 <br /> ENGINEERING SERVICE AGREEMENT <br /> �, , <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into the ,.�' !` day of ��'�j�'�� <br /> 1996, by and between the CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS,hereinafter refened to as the <br /> "CITY"and HOMER L. CHASTAIN & ASSOCIATES, LLP,hereinafter referred to as the <br /> "ENGINEER", covers professional engineering services in connection with the preparation of a <br /> Phase 1 concept report, environmental assessment report based upon environmental class of <br /> action determination procedures for the proposed improvement known as MARTIN LUTHER <br /> KING JR.EXTENSION Project, said improvements designated as City Project s�3 . <br /> WITNESSETH THAT, in consideration of these premises and of the mutual covenants <br /> herein set forth, <br /> THE ENGINEER AGREES, <br /> A. Phase 1 Concept Report PCR) and Environmental Class of Action Determination <br /> �ECAD, Services <br /> To perform the following professional services required to prepare a PCR and <br /> ECAD document for the extension of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevazd from <br /> approximately Shutter Drive at the southern terminus and heading in a <br /> northeasterly direction to the northern terminus at Hickory Point Road and <br /> bounded by the Illinois Terminal Railroad property on the west and the e�ension <br /> of Neeley Avenue to the north, on the east. The work includes: <br /> 1. Data collection from City and cooperating agencies. <br /> Progress meetings for the praject as considered necessary. <br /> 2. Conventional surveys: horizontal and vertical control, cross-sections, <br /> topography, property and centerline of recommended alignment. <br /> 3. Alignment studies for new roadway and connecting street intersections. <br /> 4. Drainage Concept Plans for storm sewer, detention and the Luka easement <br /> to the immediate west of project. <br /> 5. Structural feasibility report to determine ability to utilize the existing <br /> ICRR structure over I-72, selection of bridge type and preparation of <br /> TS&L for the proposed structure. <br /> 1 <br />
