We now project that the
new dispatch facility, using the new software and computers for dispatch and records, will go
on-line in early November and that Mobile Data Computers will go on-line in the Spring of
1997. This phased implementation is a change from the schedule previously briefed to you; it
was adopted for operational reasons, to enable us to better cope with the inevitable confusion
which results from any procedural change of this magnitude.
