Leakinq Underground Storage Tank List (LUST) / 0.5 Mile: The Illinois Office of the
State Fire Marshal maintains a list of incidents reported by owners and operators
of UST systems in which spills or overfills of petroleum or related products have
resulted in releases to the environment. Data may reflect the type of substance,
status of the leak or contamination, etc.
Registered Underqround Storace Tank List (UST) / Site and Adioining Properties:
The State of Illinois required owners of certain underground storage tanks to
register with the Office of the State Fire Marshal. The list can include information
such as the number of tanl<s, capacity, construction, owner, etc.
Solid Waste Landfills / 0.5 Mile: Illinois EPA permitted landfills that accept all types
of waste including special waste, but excluding hazardous wast:e, are included in
this listing.
The EDR report was reviewed and our observations are summarized as follows:
Site - The search of the previously named data bases revealed that the sabject property is
included on both the UST list and the RCRIS Small Quantity Generator list. Inclusion on the
UST list is believed to be due to the former presence of a waste oil underground storage
tank, that was removed in 1994, with no reported release. Inclusion on the RCRIS-SQG
list is expected to be due to waste automotive fluids that are handled by the automobile
service facility. Neither of tfese listings are indicative of a violation of environmental
regulations.
Nearby Facilities - The search of the previously named databases found the following
facilities listed within the ASTM Standard specified search radii.
1 . Decatur Gas Light & Coke Co., 400 E. Wood St., Decatur, Illinois.
Included on the Coal gas site list, and located within one-eigFtl
(1/8) mile in a southerly direction from the subject site.
2. City of Decatur, 355 E. Wood St., Decatur, Illinois. Included on tle
UST, LUST and RCRIS - Small Quantity Generator lists, and located
within one-eighth (1/8) mile in a south southeasterly direction from
the subject site.
TESTING SERVICE CORPORATION
-7-
