Y <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> This Agreement made and entered into by and between the City of Decatur, Illinois, a <br /> municipal corporation("City") and the County of Macon, a unit of local government ("County"). <br /> WHEREAS, the City owns, maintains and operates a vehicle parking facility located on <br /> the westernmost portion of the block bounded by East Wood Street, South Fra.nklin Street, East <br /> Main Street ar.d Martin Luther King Jr., Drive, said facil:ty known as Garage C; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said Garage C is located in close proximity to the Macon County <br /> Courthouse, which building houses the various courtrooms used by the judges of the Sixth <br /> 7udicial Circuit, Macon County, which courtrooms are used for jury trials; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the County is desirous of providing parking spaces for jurors serving at such <br /> jury trials; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City is willing to pernut the use of Garage C for the purpose of providing <br /> parking spaces to said jurors. <br /> NOW, TI�REFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual promises set out herein, the <br /> City and the County agree as follows: <br /> � l. Upon not less thar� five (5) days notice from the County, the City shall reserve not <br /> more than seventy-two parking spaces in Garage C for the exclusive use of persons called to jury <br /> duty by the Macon County Circuit Court. Such pazking spaces shall be reserved through the <br /> termination of the last jury trial scheduled in Macon County Circuit Court for the month in which <br /> said notice was served; provided that, the County shall notify the City during the course of said <br /> month's trials if fewer spaces are required, and the City may decrease the number of reserved <br /> spaces accordingly. <br />
