a. Establish lines and grades and direct the layout of all work on the ground as <br /> construction proceeds. <br /> b. Provide continuous inspection of the work for compliance with plans and <br /> specifications. Such inspection shall include those services which are customarily <br /> referred to as detailed resident inspection services provided that the ENGIlVEER <br /> shall not be responsible for the acts or omissions of any contractor(s), any <br /> subcontractor(s)or any of the contractor(s)' or subcontractor(s)' agents or employees <br /> or any other person(except his own employees and agents) at the project site or for <br /> the supervision, direction, control and work safety of any contractor(s) or for the <br /> construction means, methods, techniques, sequences, or procedures or for safety <br /> precautions or programs incidental to the work of contractor(s) or for any <br /> contractor(s)' failure to perform the construction work in accordance with contract <br /> documents. <br /> c. Keep a daily record or log of the contractor's activities throughout construction <br /> including notations on the nature and cost of any extra work. <br /> d. Supervise all inspectors and other technical personnel assigned to the project. <br /> e. Review and check all payment estimates, change orders, records and reports <br /> pertaining to the construction activities. <br /> 6. Insurance-The ENGIlVEER shall procure and maintain, at its expense, insurance of the type <br /> and in the minimum amounts stated below: <br /> a. Worker's Compensation Insurance in full compliance with the Workman's <br /> Compensation Act and Employers Liability coverage of not less than as defined by <br /> Illinois State Statutes. <br /> b. Comprehensive General Liability <br /> Bodily Injury $250,000/500,000 each occurrence <br /> Property Damage $250,000 each occurrence or <br /> $500,000 Single Limit Liability <br /> c. Comprehensive Automobile Liability <br /> Bodily Injury $250,000 single per occurrence <br /> Including Death, $500,000 two or more, per occurrence <br /> Property Damage $100,000 each occurrence <br /> BGM 95050 Page 5 of 9 <br />
