ATTACHMENT A - SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> TO <br /> PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> OWNER: CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS <br /> SERVICES: WATER PRODUCTION LIME SLUDGE DISPOSAL STUDY <br /> DATE: November 14, 1994 <br /> DESCRIPTION <br /> This Attachment A defines the Scope for Services to be provided by the <br /> Engineer. <br /> I . STUDY <br /> A. Compile a ten (10) year historical lime sludge production <br /> review. <br /> Review shall include annual raw water treated, tons of lime <br /> used, lbs, of dry lime used per million gallon of raw water <br /> treated, total water hardness (mg/1 ) and alkalinity (mg/1 ) <br /> reduction from raw water to finished water, total dry tons of <br /> lime sludge produced and the method used for disposal <br /> including total cost. Data to be reported as annual averages <br /> and totals with minimums and maximums shown. This data shall <br /> be reported on the two water treatment plants separately plus <br /> combined to show total water production results. <br /> B. Prepare a comprehensive projection of the sludge disposal <br /> volumes facing the Owner. <br /> Using data similar to Item A above and the water demand <br /> projections anticipated by the Owner, make projections for the <br /> next twenty (20) years. <br /> C. Review and prepare a summary of applicable regulatory <br /> constraints: <br /> Elaborate on current and proposed regulatory compliance <br /> mandates as enforced by the Illinois EPA Public Water Supply <br /> Division and Water Pollution Control Division, plus any other <br /> Federal , State or Local dictates that would effect the Owner' s <br /> ability to dispose of lime sludge. <br /> f13JAC111494 A-1 <br />
