RESOLUTION NO. R � — I � <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A <br /> DOWNSTATE OPERATING ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT <br /> FOR MASS TRANSIT FOR FY'95 <br /> Contract No. 2142 <br /> OP-95-08-IL <br /> WHEREAS, the Secretary of Transportation of the State of Illinois is authorized to make <br /> grants to transit systems to offset certain eligible operating expenses incurred in providing transit . <br /> service; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur is a qualified applicant for such grants; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the contract for such financial assistance will impose certain obligations <br /> upon the applicant. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the Downstate Operating Assistance Agreement between the State of <br /> Illinois, Department of Transportation, Division of Public Transportation, and the City of ' <br /> Decatur, Illinois, be received,placed on file and approved. <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and ', <br /> directed to sign and attest said contract on behalf of the City and to execute such other � <br /> certifications or authorizations as may be required in connection therewith. � <br /> Section 3.
