. � shall have the meanings ascribed to each herein: <br /> � "records" or "records function" - those functions <br /> ,� described on Exhibit 2, but expressly excluding juvenile <br /> records and Freedom of Information Act requests; <br /> "communications" or "communications function" - those <br /> functions described on Exhibit 3. <br /> "juvenile records" - those records required to be kept <br /> segregated and confidential by the Juvenile Court Act of <br /> 1987, as now or hereafter amended (705 ILCS 405/1-1 et <br /> seq. ) ; <br /> "Freedom of Information Act requests" - requests for <br /> public records pursuant to the Freedom of Information <br /> Act, (5 ILCS 140/1 et seq. ) ( "FOIA" ) , as now or hereafter <br /> amended. <br /> 2 . RECORDS FUNCTION. The County and the Sheriff shall <br /> perform the records function for the County, the Sheriff and the <br /> City, as described on Exhibit 2 . <br /> 3 . COMMUNICATIONS FUNCTION. The City shall perform the <br /> communications function for the County, the Sheriff and the City, <br /> as described on Exhibit 3. <br /> 4 . COSTS. <br /> A. Each party hereto shall be responsible for the <br /> purchase and maintenance of all goods, supplies, services and <br /> equipment necessary to perform its duties and obligations <br /> hereunder, and for the payment of all other costs related to such <br /> performance including, but not li.mited to, salaries and other <br /> personnel costs (including benefits) , utilities and insurance. <br /> Each party shall also be responsible for all costs incurred in <br /> order to upgrade, modify or improve the performance capabilities or <br /> access of its own computers, including, but not limited to, the <br /> purchase of token ring network interface cards and jail management <br /> - 2 - <br />
