The City and the County shall form a joint Animal Con- <br /> trol Program consisting of four main functions: Shelter Opera- <br /> tions; Fieldwork Operations; Licensing Operations; and Prosecu- <br /> tion. <br /> 2 . The County agrees to perform the following functions, <br /> obligations and duties: <br /> A. The County shall administer the Animal Shelter <br /> currently located at 2400 N. Woodford Street, Decatur, Illinois <br /> and shall provide the personnel, equipment and supplies to <br /> operate the Animal Shelter for the impoundment of animals and all <br /> its related purposes and activities. <br /> B. The County shall investigate and respond to calls <br /> concerning violations of the Act throughout the County of Macon, <br /> Macon County Ordinances in all unincorporated areas of the County <br /> and the animal control chapter of the City Code of the City of <br /> Decatur within the City of Decatur. The County agrees to pick up, 'i <br /> care for and dispose of animals and to perform such fieldwork and <br /> duties as are necessary to effectuate the purposes of the Act, <br /> Macon County Ordinances and the animal control chapter of the <br /> City Code of the City of Decatur. <br /> C. The County shall each month provide a report to <br /> the City indicating shelter activity for the month and year to <br /> date. This report shall include but not be limited to the follow- <br /> ing: total of all animals impounded, including dogs, cats, <br /> animals from City, animals from County, bite cases, owner release <br /> animals , stray animals, adoptions , reclamations and animals <br /> P.T. S. (put to sleep) . <br /> 2 <br />
