Exhibit "B" summarizes the Project <br /> ' Design Criteria. <br /> 1-3 ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS <br /> ' 3 . 01 Presence or Absence of EndanQered Species. It was estab- <br /> lished during the preparation of the 1976 Facilities Plan that <br /> there were no known endangered species within the planning area. <br /> ' 3 . 02 Disturbance of Wildlife Habitat. The construction of the <br /> proposed West Mound Road Trunk Sewer will be in close proximity to <br /> ' an unnamed drainageway. Construction will require the removal of <br /> brush and small trees that are within the construction limits. <br /> Most of the sewer line construction will be across land that is <br /> ' farmed or used as pasture. This will result in a temporary loss of <br /> some cover utilized by wildlife. The disturbed areas will be <br /> repaired by seeding and mulching. Disturbance of wildlife will be <br /> of short duration during the construction period of approximately <br /> ' 90 days. <br /> 3 . 03 Environmentally Sensitive Areas. No proposed work will <br /> . ' involve areas of marshlands, wetlands or flood plain. Construction <br /> of the sewer line will be adjacent to the 100-year Flood Boundary. <br /> � There will not be a creek crossing. <br /> ! , 3 . 04 Archeological�Historic/Cultural Resources Preservation. <br /> ; Known archeological sites were identified as part of the prepara- <br /> tion of the Decatur Area Facility Planning Report, dated December <br /> , 1976. There are no identified sites indicated in the area of this <br /> project. In order to avoid undue delay in the project schedule, a <br /> � Phase I archaeological reconnaissance survey was conducted. The <br /> ' survey located no archaeological material and project clearance was <br /> recommended. A copy of this survey will be forwarded to the Illi- <br /> nois Historic Preservation Agency for their review and comments. <br /> ' 1-4 ADVERSE IMPACTS THAT CANNOT BE AVOIDED <br /> 4 . 01 Impacts that cannot be avoided by the construction of these <br /> , projects include: <br /> (a) Consumption of materials and energy. <br /> ' (b) Temporary disturbance of birds and other forms of wild- <br /> life. <br /> ' (c) Temporary minor inconvenience to vehicular traffic. <br /> (d) Temporary increase in ambient noise level and dust <br /> ' caused by construction equipment. <br /> ' <br /> ' BGM 93074 -2- - <br />
