AGREEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the Town of Long Creek ("Town") owns and operates a <br /> water works system; and, <br /> WHEREAS the Cit of Decatur Illinois "Cit " owns and <br /> , Y � , ( Y ) <br /> operates a water works system; and, <br /> WHEREAS, both parties desire to enter into an agreement to <br /> secure a supply of treated water from the system of the City for <br /> the system of the Town during episodes occasioned by a temporary <br /> failure of the Town's water works system or some part thereof. <br /> For and in consideration of the promises and covenants <br />� res ectivel to be erformed b the arties hereto it is a reed <br /> P Y P Y P , g <br /> by and between the Town of Long Creek, and the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, as follows: <br /> 1. That the term of this agreement will be for a period of <br /> five (5) years commencing January 1, 1994 . <br /> 2 . (a) That during the term of this Agreement, the Town <br /> may extend its water distribution system into the following <br /> areas: <br /> (i) That portion of Oakley Township lying east of <br /> the line described on Exhibit A hereto (the "boundary <br /> line") ; <br /> (ii) That portion of Mt. Zion Township lying <br /> outside of the area bounded by said boundary line; and, <br /> (iii) That portion of Long Creek Township lying <br /> south and east of said boundary line. <br /> The Town may continue its water distribution system in that <br /> portion of South Wheatland Township lying in that area bounded by <br /> 1 <br />
