AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR SANITARY DISTRICT OF DECATUR OAR GROVE INTERCEPTOR REPLACEMENT THIS AGREEMENT Made at Decatur, Illinois this 18th day of Auqust, 1993 by and between the Sanitary District of Decatur, herein- after referred to as "OWNER" and Bainbridge, Gee, Milanski & Associates, Inc. , 1670 S . Taylorville Rd. , Decatur, Illinois 62521, hereinafter referred to as "ENGINEER, " WITNESSETH: The OWNER proposes to engage the ENGINEER to provide profes- sional services for the Construction Engineering and Resident Inspec- tion of the Oak Grove Interceptor Replacement, hereinafter referred to as the PROJECT. THE ENGINEER AGREES, 1. Construction Enqineerinq - Furnish services during the construction period generally comprised of the following: . a. Consult with the OWNER and with the Contractor on interpretation of plans and specifications and reg- arding any changes under consideration as construction proceeds. b,. Provide periodical job-site inspection by the Project Engineer, or his representatives, during the construc- tion period. c. Prepare and submit all payment estimates, change or- ders, records, and reports required by the OWNER. d. Safeguard the OWNER against defects and deficiencies on the part of the contractor, but the ENGINEER does not guarantee the performance of the contract by the con- tractor. e. Conduct final inspection of construction and prepare final papers and reports. f. Revise contract drawings to show location and nature of improvement as actually constructed and supply "as built" drawings consisting of a mylar set and one set of blue line prints to the OWNER. g. Inspect the contractor's operations to insure compli- ance with the plans and specifications and the keeping of complete project records. h. Check all shop and working drawings. BGM 93028A -1-
