Complete handling of all loss adjustments, investiga- <br /> tions and settlements falling within the City' s self- <br /> insurance plan for the Decatur Public Transit System. <br /> 1. All claims shall be reviewed by an experienced <br /> supervisor and a claim file established. <br /> 2. All claims shall be assigned to an adjuster within <br /> 24 hours of receipt of verbal or written notice <br /> from the City. <br /> 3 . All claims will be supervised by a supervisor of <br /> the Service Agent to determine the extent of <br /> investigation that will be necessary to ascertain <br /> the liability of the Decatur Public Transit <br /> System. . <br /> 4 . Within seven days of receipt of the claim a file <br /> number and the appropriate reserves will be <br /> established and the information will be input into <br /> the loss run system. <br /> 5. Index Bureau cards will be prepared on all injury <br /> claims if the City obtains an Index Bureau number. <br /> 6 . A claims payment program acceptable to the City <br /> will be provided. <br /> B. Maintain a claim file for each reported claim and <br /> submit monthly experience reports to the City. Such <br /> reports will det�il the claims, payments, and reserves. <br /> Incident reports shall be included in the monthly <br /> reports for informational purposes only. There shall <br /> be no additional fee for this service. <br /> C. Recommend claim reserves and provide a continuous <br /> review and updating of these to reflect any changes. <br />
