the State of Illinois, and all ordinances lawfully enacted
pursuant thereto, and such other duties as the Council of the
City of Decatur, Illinois, may lawfully assign to the EMPLOYEE.
SECTION TffitEE. Other Employment. EMPLOYEE shall devote all
of his time, attention, knowledge, and skills solely to the
interest of the CITY, and the CITY shall be entitled to all of
the benefits arising from or incident to all work, services, and
advice of EMPLOYEE.
SECTION FOIIR. Oath and Bond. The EMPLOYEE agrees to
execute an Oath and provide a Bond, with surety, as required by
Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 5-3-9 (1991) .
SECTION FIVE. Hours of Work. The parties realize that the
position of City Manager requires the person holding such
position to work many weekends, evenings and other irregular
hours at many locations other than the CITY's administrative
offices located in the Decatur Civic Center and during hours at
which said offices are not open. The parties further realize
that such work during these times is of equal importance to the
City Manager's normal daily duties at said Civic Center offices.
Therefore, in order to encourage the EMPLOYEE to undertake such
work at such irregular hours and still provide the EMPLOYEE with
a reasonable limitation to the total number of hours which he may
be required to work in any given week, it is understood and
agreed that the EMPLOYEE shall work whatever hours as may be
necessary in order for him to fulfill the requirements of the
position of City Manager, but in any event not less than forty
(40) hours per week.
