� SECTION XVI - PROTECTION OF THE PRIVACY OF PARTICIPANTS <br /> 16.1 The provider shall comply with the Privacy Act of 1974 and the rules and <br /> � regulations issued pursuant to the Act in the design, development, or operation of any system <br /> of records on individuals participating in the Demonstration. <br /> SECTION XVII - APPLICABLE LAW <br /> 17.1 This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with <br /> the laws of the State of Illinois. Any action in a court of law to interpret or enforce the terms <br /> of this Agreement shall be instituted in Champaign County, Illinois. <br /> SECTION XVIII - NOTICES <br /> 18.1 Any notices required under the terms of this Agreement shall be sent by <br /> United States mail with postage prepaid thereon, addressed as follows; and such notice shall <br />' be effective upon the earlier of (i) receipt by the Party to whom it is addressed or (ii) one (1) <br /> day after notice is sent: <br /> Carle Clinic Association, P.C. This Agreement supersedes any and all <br /> previous agreements between the Parties relating thereto. <br /> 8 <br />
