CLARK, DIRECTOR OF DEPARTMENT <br /> OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br /> SUBJECT: DOWNSTATE OPERATING ASSISTANCE GRANT APPLICATION <br /> FOR FY' 92 <br /> Upon City Council approval, the attached resolution will <br /> authorize the filing of the City of Decatur' s annual Downstate <br /> Operating Assistance grant application. Operating funds for the <br /> Decatur Public Transit System are being requested from the <br /> Illinois Department of Transportation for FY'92 (July 1 , 1991 <br /> thru June 30, 1992) . <br /> Total eligible operating expenses of $1,981,893 are project- <br /> ed for next fiscal year. The State will fund 45$, or $891,852 <br /> of that amount. The federal government' s share of operating <br /> costs will be $700, 000 and the remaining $390,041 will come from <br /> passenger revenues and local contributions. State approval of <br /> the grant application is expected in July and the first reim- <br /> bursement should be received in late September or October. <br />
