Sands <br /> February 20, 1991 <br /> Page Three <br /> Professional Fees <br /> We propose to perform the scope of services noted above on an <br /> hourly rate basis in accordance with the attached schedule to a <br /> maximum fee by phase as follows plus expenses: <br /> Phase I - P�e design $ 8, 000 <br /> Phase II - Construction Documents $45, 000 <br /> Phase III - Periodic Construction Observation $24, 000 <br /> Reimbursable expenses shall mean 1. 1 times the actual cost of the <br /> following: transportation and subsistence of principals and <br /> employees when traveling in connection with the work; postage; <br /> toll telephone calls and facsimiles; reproduction of reports, <br /> drawings and specifications, and similar Project-related items, <br /> and testing performed by others. Expenses are over and above the <br /> above stated fees and are estimated to be Seven Thousand Dollars <br /> ($7, 000) . <br /> We are prepared to proceed within two w�eks following your <br /> authorization to proceed and estimate four weeks to complete <br /> Phase I and six weeks to complete Phase II. The time required <br /> for Phase III will depend upon the repair program approved by the <br /> City of Decatur. <br /> Trusting the above meets your request, please sign and return one <br /> copy of this letter as your acceptance of the proposal and <br /> authorization to proceed. Upon receipt of the signed letter we <br /> shall prepare a standard AIA or NSPE agreement for our mutual <br /> execution. <br /> We look forward to continuing our service to the City of Decatur. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> ames .
