Such changes, including any <br /> increase or decrease in the amount of compensation, <br /> which are mutually agreed upon by and between the <br /> CLIENT and the CONTRACTOR shall be incorporated in <br /> written amendment to this CONTRACT after prior concur- <br /> rence of such changes by UMTA & IDOT. <br /> 12 . Extra Work. If requested and authorized in writing by <br /> the CLIENT, the CONTRACTOR will be available to fur- <br /> nish, or obtain from others, extra work of the follow- <br /> ing types: <br /> a. Extra work due to significant changes in the <br /> general scope of the study including, but not <br /> limited to, changes in size, complexity, or <br /> character of the work items. <br /> b. The preparation of detailed renderings and scale <br /> models for the study not provided for in this <br /> CONTRACT. <br /> c. Additional or extended services including study <br /> administration due to: (1) the prolongation of the <br /> CONTRACT time through no fault of the CONTRACTOR ; <br /> (2) the acceleration of the work schedule involv- <br /> ing services beyond normal working hours; or (3) <br /> non-delivery of any materials, data, or other <br /> information to be furnished by the CLIENT. <br /> d. Additional services and costs necessitated by <br /> travel required of the CONTRACTOR other than the <br />
