SEAN IIIIIIIIIIII III IIIIIIII I I IIII IIIII II II IIIIIIIIIIII IIII IIIII --`�� N-�RK MAC�N �nUtJTY ORDINANCE NO. 2016 54 ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY - 72 South Shores Drive - WHEREAS,there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk presented to the Council herewith,the petition under oath of James Van Meter and Tamara Roberts requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as: Beginning at the Southeast Corner of the North '/z of the Northwest '/4 of the Southwest '/4 of Section 25, Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M.; thence North along the East line of the Northwest '/4 of the Southwest '/4 of said Section 25 a distance of 195.3 feet;thence West parallel with the South line of the North '/2 of the Northwest i/4 of said Section 25 a distance of 181.6 feet to the Easterly right-of-way line of South Shores Drive (S.A. Route 31);thence Southeasterly along said right- of-way line a chord distance of 229.20 feet to the South line of the North '/2 of the Northwest '/4 of the Southwest '/4 of said Section 25; thence East 57.54 feet to the point of beginning. Commonly known as 72 South Shores Drive, Decatur, Illinois 62521 Permanent Index Number 17-12-25-302-008 WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land within such territory and by at least 51% of the electors residing therein, and that said territory is contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any city, village or incorporated town or other municipality, and, WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation has been given as required. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, and the same are hereby, approved.
