5. The ENGINEER's representative for this project will use the <br /> Steel Structures Painting Council Visual Standard SSPC-Vis 1 <br /> to evaluate the cleanliness of the blast cleaning. A Tes-tex <br /> tape system will be used to determine the surface profile. A <br /> sling psychrometer and surface temperature measurement <br /> thermometers will be used to monitor the environmental <br /> conditions and cleaning and painting surface conditions under <br /> which the work is performed. Wet and dry coating thickness <br /> gages will be used to monitor the coating film thickness. A <br /> wet sponge holiday detector will be used on all submerged <br /> interior surfaces to detect voids in the coating. Should <br /> they be necessary, Tooke gage and adhesion measuring <br /> equipment will be dispatched from our Speedway office. <br /> 6. If engaged for the inspection of the work, the ENGINEER'S <br /> representative or other designated representative will attend <br /> conferences with the OWNER or other interested parties at the <br /> time of detailed painting inspections. <br /> 7. If the OWNER wishes the ENGINEER to attend conferences with <br /> the OWNER and representatives of other interested parties, <br /> the ENGINEER shall be compensated for attendance as set forth <br /> in Section IV, Paragraph 1. <br /> 8. The ENGINEER further agrees to obtain and maintain, at the <br /> ENGINEER'S expense, such insurance as will protect him and <br /> the OWNER from claims under Workmen's Compensation and from <br /> all claims for bodily injury, death, or property damage which <br /> may arise from the negligent performance of the ENGINEER or <br /> by the INSPECTOR'S employees performing the ENGINEER'S <br /> functions and services required under this Agreement. <br /> B. Additional Engineering Services <br /> 1. The ENGINEER agrees to perform engineering services as <br /> directed by the OWNER for miscellaneous water tank projects. <br /> Such projects may include; attendance at meetings not <br /> specifically covered iri previous sections, emergency <br /> inspections, or modifications to existing tanks. The OWNER <br /> shall compensate the ENGINEER for this work in accordance <br /> with Section IV, Paragraph 1. <br /> SECTION II - SERVICES FURNISHED BY THE OWNER <br /> A. Provide to ENGINEER all information in possession of the <br /> OWNER which relates to the OWNER'S requirements for the <br /> project or which is relevant to the project. <br />
