� <br /> c. Accompany visiting inspectors representing public or <br /> other agencies having jurisdiction over the Project, <br /> record the results of these inspections and report to <br /> the OWNER. <br /> d. Report to OWNER when clarifications and interpretations <br /> of the Contract Documents are needed and transmit to <br /> CONTRACTOR clarifications and interpretations as issued <br /> by ENGINEER. <br /> e. Conduct final inspection in the company of CONTRACTOR <br /> and prepare a final list of items to be completed or <br /> corrected. <br /> f. Observe that all items on the final list have been <br /> completed or corrected and make recommendation to OWNER <br /> concerning acceptance. <br /> 3 . The limitations of authority of the ENGINEER shall include: <br /> a. The ENGINEER shall not authorize any deviation from the <br /> Contract Documents or substitution of materials or <br /> equipment, unless authorized by the OWNER. <br /> b. The ENGINEER shall not exceed the limitations of the <br /> OWNER's authority as set forth in this Agreement and the <br /> Contract Documents. <br /> c. The ENGINEER shall not undertake any of the <br /> responsibilities of the CONTRACTOR, subcontractors or <br /> CONTRACTOR's superintendent. <br /> d. The ENGINEER shall not advise on, issue directions <br /> relative to or assume control over any aspect of the <br /> means, methods, techniques, sequences or procedures of <br /> construction unless such advise or directions are <br /> specifically required by the Contract Documents. <br /> e. The ENGINEER shall not advise on, issue directions <br /> regarding or assume control over safety precautions and <br /> programs in connection with the Work. <br /> f. The ENGINEER shall not advise on, issue directions <br /> regarding or assume control over CONTRACTOR's compliance <br /> with environmental regulations. <br /> g. The ENGINEER shall not authorize OWNER to occupy the <br /> Project in whole or in part. <br /> 4. The ENGINEER'S representative will furnish the OWNER a <br /> written report of the findings of each inspection. The <br /> ENGINEER'S representative does not guarantee the performance <br /> of any contractor by the ENGINEER's performance of such <br /> resident inspection. The ENGINEER'S undertaking hereunder <br /> shall not relieve the CONTRACTOR of his obligation to perform <br /> the work in conformity with the drawings and specifications <br /> and in a workmanlike manner; shall not make the ENGINEER'S <br /> representative an insurer of the CONTRACTOR'S performance; <br /> and shall not impose on the ENGINEER'S representative an <br /> obligation to see that the CONTRACTOR'S work is performed in <br /> a safe manner. <br />
