2) Direction and supervision of employee training as <br /> needed. <br /> 3) Direction and supervision of safety programs, <br /> safety meetings, and campaigns and use of safety <br /> equipment. <br /> E) Equipment and Building Maintenance including: <br /> 1) Studying bus operation and maintenance service to , <br /> determine the adequacy of the existing equipment. I <br /> 2) Recommending equipment purchases for transporta- , <br /> tion and maintenance operations. ' <br /> 3) Direction and supervision of equipment and build- �� <br /> ing maintenance operations. I <br /> 4) Supervising inspection of equipment to promote <br /> safety of the riding and general public. <br /> F) Equipment Purchasing: <br /> 1) Direction and supervision of purchasing minor <br /> equipment, hardware, office supplies, etc. <br /> 3) Operator shall also furnish, either upon the request of <br /> or the prior approval of City, such consulting and <br /> technical assistance as may be reasonably required to <br /> assist the resident manager in the operation of the <br /> transit system which shall include but not be limited <br /> to the matters set out in Paragraph 2 hereof. <br /> 4) Operator shall employ and furnish as the employees of <br /> Operator, such personnel as shall be reasonably re- <br /> quired for the efficient and economical operation of <br /> the transit system, and shall assume and accept all <br /> current labor contracts in force upon the effective <br /> date hereof, and such other contractual obligations <br /> there may be in connection with the acquisition by the <br /> City of the transit system to be managed, supervised <br /> and operated by Operator. <br /> 5) Any amendments, modifications, changes, extension, or <br /> renewals of collective bargaining agreements or other <br /> employee contractual agreements as may hereafter be <br /> entered into by Operator shall require the prior <br /> approval of the City. <br /> 6) In the event Operator in order to perform its duties <br /> and obligations under Paragraphs 2 and 4 above, has or <br /> shall, with the approval of the City, contract with, or <br /> obligate itself to, another or others, City shall, upon <br /> the expiration or other termination of Agreement <br />
