applicable statute and covering all employees employed <br /> by Operator pursuant to its Agreement with the City. <br /> 13) If required by the City, Operator shall provide and <br />, keep in force, and furnish evidence of, a contract or <br /> contracts of insurance with a reliable company or with <br /> reliable companies authorized to do business in the <br /> State of Illinois and approved by the City by which <br /> contracts both the Operator and the City are insured <br /> against any claim, demand or loss for injury to persons <br /> or damage to property resulting from, growing out of or <br /> connected with the management, supervision and opera- <br /> tion of said transit system or its appurtenant facili- <br /> ties or either of them or any act or omissions to act <br /> by Operator or any of Operator' s employees, which said <br /> contracts of insurance shall provide comprehensive <br /> general liability insurance which includes Bodily <br /> Injury and Property Damage with combined single limits <br /> of $1,000,000, comprehensive automobile liability which <br /> includes Bodily Injury and property Damage with com- <br /> bined single limits of $1,000,000, and umbrella liabil- <br /> ity in an amount of not less than $10,000,000 except <br /> that this obligation shall not require Operator to <br /> furnish insurance against injury to persons or damage <br /> to property caused by the negligence of City or of its <br /> employees. The City may from time to time change the <br /> aforesaid insurance requirements. <br /> 14) The Operator shall furnish fire and extended damage <br /> coverage in the amount of the full insurable value of <br /> each transit coach in the transit system with a deduct- <br /> ible clause not to exceed $5,000 .00. <br /> 15) In addition to the above specified forms of insurance <br /> coverage to be in effect during the term of its Agree- <br /> ment with the City, the Operator shall obtain any other <br /> insurance coverage which is customarily maintained by <br /> the transit industry with respect to similar transit <br /> operations. <br /> 16) All insurance polices shall by their terms or by <br /> specific endorsement designate the City and Operator as <br /> co-insureds. City shall reimburse Operator for the <br /> premium or other expense to Operator arising from the <br /> furnishing by Operator of the bonds and contracts of <br /> insurance required by the Agreement between the City <br /> and Operator. <br /> 17) If certain types of contracts of insurance are not <br /> required to be obtained by Operator pursuant to para- <br /> graph 13 hereof, then for those risks not covered by <br /> such contracts the City shall, at City' s own expense, <br /> defend all suits that may be brought against Operator <br /> on account of, or in connection with, or by reason of <br />
