� ,- . <br /> DREDGING FARIES PARK BASIN <br /> LAKE DECATUR, DECATUR, IL � <br /> CITY PROJECT 8919 <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN <br /> OWNER AND ENGINEER <br /> FQR � <br /> PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> This is an Agreement made as of February 19. 1990 between City of Decatur� Decatur, <br /> IL 62523 (OWNER) and Cochran &Wilken, Inc., Springfieid, IL 62703 (ENGINEER). <br /> OWNER employs ENGINEER to perform professional engineering services, to serve as <br /> OWNER's professional engineering representative and to provide professional <br /> engineering consultation and advice for a professional fee (as set forth below) in <br /> connection with the dredging of a portion of Lake Decatur know� as the Faries Park <br /> Basin. See Scope of Work as outlined herein and in the "Request for Proposal - <br /> Dredging Faries Park Basin" from the City of Decatur dated November 17, 1989 and the <br /> response from Cochran & Wilken, Inc. dated December 20, 1989. � <br /> SECTION 1 - BASIC SERVICES OF ENGINEER ' <br /> PHASE 1 <br /> 1. Identify suitable Retention Site(s) based on field analysis and office analysis <br /> utilizing existing aerial photography and topographic maps and soils reports. <br /> 2. Perform alternate analysis and location selection based on a site specific <br /> analysis. Provide a preliminary design and site recommendation based on analysis and <br /> decision matrix. <br /> 3. Advise City of Decatur regarding the necessary land acquisition for the sediment <br /> retention site(s) and review progress of negotiations . Analyze operating impacts and <br /> associated construction costs related to the purchase of the various land options <br /> available. <br /> 4.
