Survey the proposed sediment retention site and try to ascertain from adjacent . <br /> and former landowners� USDA Soil Conservation Service, Macon County Highway <br /> Department and other appropriate individuals and agencies all existing and proposed <br /> buried and overhead utilities, field drain tile systems, surface water drainage, highways, ; <br /> roads, tanes and other known developments which may affect the retention site area <br /> during or after construction. <br /> 6. Develop, locate, and monument a grid-control system over the lake surface to <br /> provide for re-usable transect and sections to delineate the lines, grades, and limits of <br /> the proposed dredging work. Complete all survey control work necessary to insure that <br /> all points may be remarked if damaged or removed. <br /> 7. Develop, locate, and monument a cross-section grid that will provide adequate <br /> data and information to design all dredge removal limits, calculate estimated quantities <br /> of material to be removed, and to measure actual removal limits in order to establish <br /> that all areas are properly excavated and to provide a method of payment to the <br /> contractor for work completed. <br /> 8. Complete two (2) sets of cross-sections including the initial soundings for design <br /> purposes and a final sounding to be used as a construction check and basis of <br /> payment, and to document the final contours for the "as-built" cross-section documents. <br /> 9. Subcontract with a reputable aerial photography firm for contact prinf aerial <br /> photographs of the retention site area(s) included in Phase 1. Complete all necessary <br /> ground control survey work. Work shall also include topographic survey from aeriaf <br /> photographs of the retention site area(s) and the area(s) where influent and effluent <br /> pipe lines shall be located. <br /> 10. Survey the appropriate locations for all influent and effluent pipelines. Inform <br /> OWNER of any right-of-way or construction/maintenance easements or permits <br /> required over public and private property between the retention site and the lake. <br /> 11. Prepare necessary environmental reports and permit application for the Corps of <br /> Engineers, and provide coordination during the permitting process. Provide <br /> environmental and biological review. Provide technical and environmental input for a <br /> Pollution Control Board Variance Petition for relief from the effluent discharge standards. <br /> Complete water quality testing and sediment analysis to properly prepare water quality <br /> certification permits. <br /> 12. Provide site reclamation planning and preliminary design for either future on-site <br /> or off-site use of the sediment. Determine feasibility of using mixture of ADM Lime Ash <br /> and reclaimed sediment for construction of ski slope in Macon County. <br /> 2 of 7 � <br />
