. .
DIVISION B - CANTRELL ST. BEWER
The Cantrell St. Sewer serves as an outfall for combined
sewage from an area of approximately 130 acres, lying generally
between Decatur St. on the north, Jasper St. on the east, Cleve-
land Ave. on the south, and the ICG Railroad on the west. The
sewer was constructed about 1900 and includes some variable size
and shape conduits, probably constructed earlier for drainage way
crossings and later incorporated into the outfall sewer system.
The sewer varies in size, generally in the 48-inch to 54-inch
range, and construction features brick, reinforced concrete pipe,
concrete box, corrugated metal pipe arch and iron pipe.
