 . . .
Sewer Overflow (CSO) work currently under design. Accordingly,
no rehabilitation work is applicable at this facility.
The Cantrell St. Sewer downstream from Jackson St. features
a number of various sizes and shapes as noted before. Sewer
condition is generally poor with some areas where critical struc-
tural problems have developed. Accordingly we summarize the
various sewer sections, previously identified, as follows:
4. 8± transition section immediately weat of Jackson
Street: Mortar in the brickwork is heavily eroded.
The downstream 4 to 6 ' of transition has been patched
with gunite. Patching is in very poor repair, heavi-
ly deteriorated with wire mesh exposed, the crown
separated and some small voids apparent. This sec-
tion has the potential for structural failure (see
photos 1-3 between MH C-6 and MN C-5) . Construction
of the new diversion facility, noted above, should
include replacement of this transition section.
Accordingly it is not included herein as part of this
proposed rehabilitation work.
5. 80 LF ot 48 x 42 concrete box seation: Heavy
debris is deposited in the flat bottom of the box.
Extensive deterioration of concrete is apparent at
the junction of wall and floor with a void extending
completely through the wall (see photo 4, MH C-6 to
MH C-5) . openings in the crown of the box sewer are
covered with wood planking.
