3 ) PURPOSE OF USE <br /> The purpose for rehabilitation of the Broadway -Cantrell <br /> Street Combined Sewer outfalls and Cantrell Street Trunk Sewer <br /> (Exhibit ' E & F' ) is to have a structurally sound sewer to <br /> transport combined sewer overflow from the DISTRICT owned and <br /> operated Broadway and Cantrell Street Diversion structures to the <br /> DISTRICT proposed Lincoln Park Combined Sewer Overflow Facility. <br /> 4 ) DOWNSIZING OF CANTRELL STREET COMBINED SEWER OUTFALL <br /> The rehabilitation of the Cantrell Street Combined sewer <br /> outfall and Trunk sewer as so reported in the "sewer <br /> Rehabilitation Report-1989" ( Exhibit ' F ' ) recommends that the <br /> sewer be rehabilitated by the Gunite Method (Basic Construction) . <br /> The CITY by letter dated December 26 , 1989 (Exhibit ' G' ) also <br /> recommends that the "Basic Construction" rather that the <br /> "Alternate Construction" be implemented. By virtue of this <br /> Interqovernmental Cooperation Aqreement, the CITY releases the <br /> DISTRICT from any responsibility and or obligation for enlargement <br /> af the rehabilitated Cantrell Street Combined Sewer outfall and <br /> Trunk Sewer in the future. <br /> 5 ) CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP <br /> Prior to the start of rehabilitation of the Broadway South <br /> Combined Sewer outfall , the CITY will transfer ownership of said <br /> sewer and appurtenances (manholes , steps , and castings ) to the <br /> 3 of 29 <br />
