consists of a complete sanitary sewer district to serve all parts of the City of Decatur, as described <br /> in "Exhibit 1", and as shown on the detailed plans and specifications. <br /> SECTION 5: THAT the said sanitary sewer improvement consists of a sanitary sewer <br /> system with tee branches laid with water tight joints, city standard manholes, drop connections at <br /> drop manholes, improved street surface restorations to the specifications included, protection, <br /> care and replacement of a11 existing underground and above-ground utilities in the line-up, or near <br /> said improvements; and all necessary appurtenances thereto required to complete the sanitary <br /> sewer system. <br /> The slopes of all gravity sanitary sewers are given in percentage and all sections have a <br /> uniform grade. Minimum and Maximum grades are shown on the detailed plans. <br /> The pipes and fittings for the sanitary sewer system are to be first quality materials, <br /> complying with the latest standards. <br /> All sewer pipe shall be laid on an even, fum bed throughout the full length of the barrel so <br /> that no uneven strain will come on any pipe, and particular care will be exercised to prevent the <br /> pipes bearing on the sockets. Each pipe is to be laid in confornuty with the line and levels <br /> therefore, and in the presence of an inspector from the engineers. The socket end of all pipe is to <br /> be laid upgrade. <br /> Tee-branches or wye-branches for house connections are to be four inches in diameter, <br /> equal in quality and dimensions to that heretofore described, and as shown on "Exhibit 2" and as <br /> described in "Exhibit 3". <br />
