Chapter 70 <br /> (y) PM 405 . 2 by deleting the Exception noted in this <br /> Subsection. <br /> ( z ) Add a subsection PM 405 . 5 . 1 as follows : <br /> PM 405.5. 1 - Dwelling Units: Every dwelling unit shall contain <br /> a minimum gross floor area of not less than 150 square feet for <br /> the first occupant, and 100 sq. ft. for each additional occupant. <br /> The floor area shall be calculated on the basis of the total area <br /> of all habitable rooms. <br /> (aa) PM 405. 6 by inserting after the first sentence thereof <br /> the words "An efficiency apartment may be allowed if the total <br /> area equals that required for the total of a living room, dining <br /> room, kitchen, and bedroom as set forth in Table PM 405. 5, if <br /> the total square footage is equal to or greater than that <br /> required in PM 405. 3 and the ventilation is equal to or greater <br /> than the total required in PM 404. 1. " <br /> (bb) Add a subsection PM 405 . 11 as follows: Below Grade I <br /> RoQms: Roams partially or comgletely below grade shall not be <br /> used as habitable space unless: <br /> 1. Floors and walls are water-tight so as to prevent entry <br /> of moisture. <br /> 2 . Al1 habitable rooms shall be provided with aggregate <br /> glazing of not less than 8 percent of the floor area of such <br /> rooms. <br /> 3 . Where windows are provided as a means of egress or <br /> rescue, the windows shall have the bottom of the clear opening <br />
