L
 `
EXCERPTS FROM
TRAFFIC & PARKING COMMITTEE MEETING
JULY 14, 1993
Item #3 Staff request for yield signs on Calhoun Street facing
Clay Street.
Newell stated there is not a traffic accident problem at this
intersection, but there are a lot of complaints. He believes
this is a legitimate concern. Drivers overlook this intersection
because of the cars parked along the street. There is a fair
. amount of traffic when school is let out. He pulled the parking
back at the beginning of the last school year, but the complaints
are still coming in.
It was moved and seconded (Curlin/Moss) to accept staff recommen-
dation to place yield signs facing Clay to better define Calhoun
as the major street at the intersection. There being no one
opposed, the motion carried.
