Cal. No. 93-29 Petition ot F. 1CAY xNTRIK to rezone the <br /> premiees commonly known as 1005 North <br /> Main Street from R-6 Kultiple Dwellinq <br /> District to O-1 Office District, <br /> Iir. Charles Antrin was present and spoke for the petition statinq <br /> that he and his vife would like to to rezone the property to <br /> accommodate his office and also live there. lir. 1�►ntrim's oftice <br /> is now located in the Professional Buildinq. <br /> ?ir. Pronk questioned if the subject buildinq is nov empty. Kr: . <br /> Antrim aaid that the buildinq is empty and has been for eome <br /> time. � <br /> Mrs. Coulter questioned the parkinq area. Mr. Antrim etated that <br /> requiremente are three parking spaces arid one handicapped space. <br /> Parkinq vill be located on the north lot next to the buildinq. <br /> The entrance vill nost likely be from Karietta and the exit on <br /> Main. <br /> There was an objector present: � <br /> Ks. Kary Younq, 1023 North liain, was preaent and epoke in <br /> , objection of the petition etatinq her concern vith the effect of <br /> the bu�iness on the homeowners in the area. She questioned what <br /> type of business it would be. <br /> Mr. Antrim stated that the business fs an office for finaricial <br /> planninq and not nore than two or three cars vould be at the <br /> location at any one time. No other business would be conducted. <br /> There would be no loud nofses. Mr. Antrim noted that there had <br /> been a beauty parlor at this location vhich he believed had <br /> generated nore traffic than his business would. � <br /> Mr. Kaptain questioned if landscapinq would be done. Mr. !►ntrim <br /> ' stated that all requirements would be met. � <br /> Krs. Coulter questioned the normal parking requirements should <br /> the property be rezoned to O-1. Mr. KcQueen etated that the <br /> ratio of spaces are based on square footage of the buildinq. <br /> Should there be future expansion then additfonal parkinq would be <br /> provided. l�irs. Coulter questioned if Mr. Aritrim currently owns <br /> all of the land to be used for parkinq. It t�ras Btated that 2ir. <br /> Antrim does own the lot which will become the parkinq area. <br /> Mrs. Coulter questioned the hours of operation. Mr. l�u�trim <br /> etated the hour6 would be from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.K. and <br /> possibly a few eveninq appointments. <br /> I�is. Young stated that the parkinq would be near the fence on the <br /> lot next to her home. She stated that she underatood Iir. <br /> Antrim's request but is not in aqreement vith it. <br /> ?i�c. McQueen presented the recommendation of staff: <br /> Staf f noted there is an area across the street f rom the Bub j ect <br /> property that is zoned B-1 Neiqhborhood Shoppinq District. <br /> However, the entire block the subject property is located in is <br /> zoned R-6 Multiple Dwelling District and properties in the entire <br />� • <br />
