Recoqnizing the long time occupancy <br /> as an office, and the small size of the existinq structure <br /> (approximately 1,000 square feet) , staff is of the opinion that a <br /> new office use in this structure would not adversely affect or <br /> change the character of this general area. In rendering this <br /> opinion, we note the nearby existence of R-5 and R-6 zoning, and <br /> the restrictive nature of the O-1 office zone. Staff would not <br /> support a commercial classification at this location or unlimited <br /> expansion of the O-1 zone. <br /> In view of the data presented, staff recommends approval of the <br /> petition. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Kaptain/Perkins) and unanimously <br /> approved that Cal. No. 93-19 be forwarded to City Council for <br /> approval. <br />
