PETITION FOR SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br /> February 26, 1993 <br /> TO: Mayor Erik C. Brechnitz <br /> City Council <br /> City Plan Commission <br /> I, David A. Clark, Director of Community Development, hereby <br /> request approval of a special use permit to allow the <br /> construction and operation of a firehouse for the City of Decatur <br /> and premises located in the 1300-1400 blocks of North Water and <br /> Main Streets and legally described as follows: <br /> Al1 of Lots 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 , 13 , 14 , the <br /> south 6. 33 feet of Lot 15; the west five feet of <br /> Lot 5, the west 50 feet of Lots 3 and 4 , and the <br /> west 50 feet of the south 8.5 feet of Lot 2 in the <br /> Assessor's Subdivision as recorded in Book 149, <br /> Page 411 in the Records of the Recorder's Office of <br /> Macon County; and also the north 16 feet of Lots 1 <br /> and 11 of B. Dills Subdivision as recorded in Book <br /> 149, Page 47 of the Records of the Recorder's <br /> Office of Macon County; all located in the NE 1/4 , <br /> Section 10, T16N, R2E, 3rd P.M. , Macon County, <br /> Illinois. <br /> Section XXI. (Special Use Regulations) of the Zoning Ordinance <br /> (Ord. #3512) provides for the operation of any public or <br /> government building or structure in any zoning district. The <br /> area in question is presently zoned in part R-6 Multiple <br /> Dwelling, O-1 Office and B-1 Neighborhood Shopping District. <br /> The proposed facility would replace Number 1 Fire Station, which <br /> is located at 202 South Franklin Street.
