DRIVE - <br /> - CITY PROJECT 9113 - <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois, owns and maintains a <br /> municipal street system, as defined at I11.Rev.Stat. 1991 , ch. <br /> 121 , par. 2-104 ; and, <br /> WHEREAS, one of the streets in said system is Martin Luther <br /> King Jr. Drive ("MLK Jr. Dr. ") , which street currently has its <br /> northern terminus at or near East Pershing Road in the City of <br /> Decatur, Illinois (except for a small, non-contiguous portion <br /> thereof located south of East Mound Road in the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois) ; and, <br /> HIHEREAS, the Council of said City intends to extend MLK Jr. <br /> Dr. north from East Pershing Road to Shutter Drive, in the City <br /> of Decatur, Illinois; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the premises described below are suitable and <br /> desirable for the location and construction of said extension of <br /> MLK Jr. Dr. , and said premises are located wholly within the <br /> corporate limits of said City: <br /> The East 10 feet of Lot Nine (9) of John W. Constant <br /> Subdivision as per Plat recorded in Book 982 Page 03 of <br /> the records in the Recorder' s Office of Macon County, i <br /> Illinois; ', <br /> AND � <br /> The East 10 feet Lot Ten (10) of John W. Constant <br /> Subdivision as per Plat recorded in Book 982 Page 03 of <br /> the records in the Recorder' s Office of Macon County, <br /> Illinois; <br /> AND <br /> Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot Eight (8) of <br /> Country Acres Addition as per Plat recorded in Book 300 <br /> Page 207 of the records in the Recorder' s Office of <br /> Macon County, Illinois; thence S 00 degrees 14 ' 16" E <br /> (Assumed Bearing) , 6 .09 feet along the East line of said <br /> property; thence N 88 degrees 59 ' 35" W 41 . 51 feet; <br /> thence S 88 degrees 07 ' 38" W 101 . 85 feet to a point on <br /> the West line of the said property; thence N O1 degrees <br /> 52 ' 22" W 4 . 00 feet to the point on the North line of the <br /> said property; thence N 88 degrees 07 ' 38" E 143 . 48 feet <br /> to the point of beginning; and, <br />
