. , ` <br /> CHAPTER 34 <br /> TRAFFIC <br /> 1. DEFZNITIONB . Except as otherwise defined herein, the <br /> words and phrases used in this Chapter shall, for the purpose <br /> hereof, have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in the <br /> Illinois Vehicle Code. As used in this Chapter the following <br /> words mean: <br /> Bus Stop: The space in the roadway adjacent to the curb <br /> reserved for the exclusive use of city passenger motor buses. <br /> Downtown Area: Beginning at a point where the west line of <br /> South Church Street intersects the south line of West Decatur <br /> Street, thence North along the west line of South and North <br /> Church Streets to the north line of West Cerro Gordo Street, <br /> thence east along the north line of West and East Cerro Gordo <br /> Streets to the east line of North Jackson Street, thence south <br /> along the east line of North and South Jackson Streets and the <br /> east line of South Jackson Street extended south to the south <br /> line of East Decatur thence west along the south line of East and <br /> West Decatur to the point of beginning. <br /> ParkinQ Meter: A mechanical device loca,ted upon a public <br /> street or sidewalk in a place designated by the Council as a <br /> parking meter zone, which device shall record a certain amount of <br /> time by the use of a clock mechanism, determining the period of <br /> time for which parking privileges may be extended to the person <br /> depositing a coin or coins therein. <br />� <br />
