f
Ms. Moss agrees with two stop signs on Center and stated
the addition of no parking signs is an excellent idea.
Bryan Curlin agrees putting signs on Center is advisable.
David Cook stated the best way to be safe is to put up four
signs, but just two signs and the addition of no parking signs
would do the job.
Phillip Bauer agreed.
Jim Schiller stated the problem he saw was westbound
traffic on Center. He agrees to accept staff recommendation to
add no parking signs.
Mr. Swartz was bothered by the site distance, and he feels
the four-way stop and no parking signs would be the best recom-
mendation.
Mrs. White agreed with Mr. Swartz, because the original
request was for a two-way stop, but the yield signs were put in.
Rev. White stated he has observed the most traffic at this
intersection on Saturdays and Sundays. He agrees with the
addition of the no parking signs.
Chris Herring is concerned that the Commission would be
over reacting by putting in the four-way stop.
Jim Schiller asked where the traffic counters were placed.
Matt Newell stated they were placed about 50 feet from the
intersection.
Jim Schiller noted the average speed is higher on Center
than on Warren.
Chris Herring stated the Patrol Division tries to get the
neighborhood residents pro-active in this area.
Rev. White stated whatever the Commission could do would be
appreciated, but if it doesn't work, he will be back.
Jim Schiller moved to accept staff recommendation with the
addition of "no parking from here to corner" signs.
Chris Herring seconded the motion and it was unanimously
carried.
