PETITION TO VACATE ALLEY TO THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS Petitioners, DECATUR MEMORIAL HOSPITAL and DECATUR MEMORIAL FOUNDATION, both Illinois not-for-profit corporations, petition as follows: 1. Petitioners request that an ordinance be enacted vacating the alley lying North of Hay Street, South of Memorial Drive and between North Edward and North Union Streets in the City of Decatur, Illinois, described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot One ( 1) of Brueck & Akers Addition as per plat recorded in Book 149 page 25 of the Records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois, thence South to the Southwest corner of Lot 12 of said Addition, thence West 16 feet along the north right of way line of Hay Street to the Southeast corner of Lot 11 of said Addition, thence North to the Northeast corner of Lot 2 of said Addition, thence East 16 feet along the South right of way line of Memorial Drive to the place of beginning, situated in the City of Decatur, Macon County, Illinois . � Attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" , and incorporated herein is a plat highlighting in red the alley which the Petitioners request be vacated. 2 .
