i SECTION V. R-1 SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT E. IDENTIFICATION SIGN REGULATIONS: 1 . Freestanding Signs : Residential subdivisions, planned unit developments, and those uses listed above in paragraphs B. 3, 4, 5, & 6 shall be al- lowed one permanent, free-standing sign per entrance road with a maximum of two such signs. Each sign shall be limited to 32 square feet in area or one half square foot per linear foot of lot frontage, whichever is greater. Maximum height shall be limited to ten feet, and such sign shall be located a minimum of five feet from a front property or street right-of-way line. Such sign may be illuminated but non-flashing if located a minimum of 25 feet from any residen- tial side or rear lot line; a non-illuminated sign . may be located within five feet of a side or rear lot line. 2 . Temporary Signs: Those uses listed above under paragraph B. (Use Regulations) shall be allowed a maximum of three temporary, non-portable, non- illuminated signs per lot, or in the" case of a planned unit development a maximum of three such signs per residential structure. Total sign area shall not exceed 32 square feet and may be allo- cated among a maximum of three signs. Maximum height of permitted signs shall not exceed six feet, and such signs shall contain no commercial message except for identification of a contractor or business which may be making repairs or altera- tions on a specific building or use or is repre- senting the owner in the sale or lease of the property. 3 . Wall Signs: A wall mounted, non-illuminated sign not to exceed two square feet shall be permitted for home occupations, or a single family, or two family dwelling. Wall signs not to exceed 25 square feet or ten percent of the face of the wall where displayed, whichever is larger, shall be permitted for all other uses listed above under Section V in paragraphs B. 3 , 4, 5 and 6; such signs may be illuminated but non-fl.ashing if lo- cated a minimum of 25 feet from any residential side or rear lot line.
