SECTION XIX. HEIGHT AND AREA EXCEPTIONS AND MODIFICATONS <br /> B. FRONT YARDS: <br /> 8 . A free-standing advertising sign relating to the <br /> business carried on by the establishment occupying a lot <br /> may be located in the front yard if no individual face <br /> of the sign exceeds an area of 60 square feet plus one <br /> additional square foot for each additional foot of lot <br /> frontage over 60 measured along the front lot line. <br /> No portion of any sign, exclusive of the standard of a <br /> free-standing sign, located within a vision clearance <br /> area as herein defined, shall be less than nine feet <br /> above the level of the sidewalk, or if there is no <br /> sidewalk, the level of the lot line nearest the sign, <br /> except that where traffic lights may be obscured, the <br /> minimum height shall be twelve feet. The standard or <br /> support for a free standing sign within a vision <br /> clearance zone shall be limited to the following: (1) a <br /> single pole or column with a maximum diameter or width <br /> of twenty-four inches or (2) a maximum of two poles or <br /> columns with a maximum diameter or width of eighteen <br /> inches each and further provided a minimum clear dis- <br /> tance of six feet be provided between such poles or <br /> columns. <br /> Vision clearance areas are triangular shaped areas lo- <br /> cated at the intersection of any combination of rights- <br /> of-way, private streets, alleys, or driveways; the <br /> height of the vision clearance area is from three and <br /> one half feet above grade to nine feet above grade of <br /> the vehicular driving surface. The sides of the tri- <br /> angle shall be determined in one of the following man- <br /> ners as the specific case may apply: <br /> (1) Twenty-five feet from the intersection of street � <br /> right-of-way line or private roadway easements. <br /> (2) Twenty-five feet from the intersection of a street <br /> right-of-way line and property line corresponding with a <br /> public alley or private street. <br /> (3) Twenty-five feet from the intersection of a street <br /> right-of-way line or private roadway easement and the <br /> edge of the vehicle travel area on a driveway. <br /> EXHIBIT B <br />
