For almost eighteen years, <br /> UA Cablesystems has resisted charging such a fee. However, as <br /> our customer base increases and postage, labor, and printing <br /> costs increase, we can no lon�er justify allocating those costs <br /> to all subscribers as part of monthly cable charges. <br /> Beginning January 1, 1990, we will begin to charge a $3 fee <br /> to those subscribers who fail to pay their bills by the due date <br /> (fifteen days after the billing date). It seems only fair that <br /> the delinquent subscribers, who cause the added costs, should pay <br /> for those costs. <br /> We estimate that fewer than ten percent of our subscribers <br /> will be affected by this charge.
