No. 87-14 Petition of BLUE MILL RESTAURANT to vacate a <br /> portion of the alley east of North Oakland <br /> Avenue between Weat Wood Street and West Macon <br /> Street. <br /> Mr. Don E. McKinney, Owner of The Blue Mill at Wood and Oakland <br /> Streets, Decatur, Illinois, stated he owned all of the lots <br /> adjacent to this alley and hae blacktopped and maintained the <br /> alley for over 20 years. For security reasons he would like to <br /> fence the alley and is therefore requesting the area be vacated. • <br /> He would be glad to answer any questione. <br /> Mr. Bertram asked if they were fencing off the alley on both <br /> sides. <br /> � Mr. McKinney stated the aub,�ect alley would be fenced on both <br /> ende with the fence beginning east of the first lot fronting on <br /> Oakland Avenue. <br /> No ob�ectors were present. <br /> CMr. McQueen presented the recommendation of etaff: <br /> Staff recommends approval of the petition with the atipulation <br /> that the utility easement be retained as typically ie the case <br /> and as previously discussed today for the operation of an <br /> existing sanitary sewer. No. 87-18 Petition of DEVELCO, an Illinoia Partnerahip, <br /> to rezone the premises commonly known as 1234 <br /> East Clay Street from R-3 Single Family <br /> Residence Dietrict to B-1 Neighborhood Shopping <br /> District. <br /> Mr. Jeffrey Graves, 1200 Peoria Savinga Plaza, Peoria, Illinoia <br /> apoke in behalf of the petitioner. He stated that petitioner <br /> ` - request rezoning to allow for the construction of a new Walgreen <br /> Drug Store on the property. They also have now contracted to <br />
