McQueen, Planner <br /> Department of Community Development <br /> SUBJECT: Commodity Scrap Processing and Fertilizer <br /> � Manufacturing, 510 East Wabash Avenue <br /> An ordinance rezoning the subject premises from M-1 Light <br /> Industrial District to M-2 Heavy Industrial District is scheduled <br /> for review and action by the City Council on Monday, June 29 , <br /> 1987; this zoning proposal has been reviewed and recommended for <br /> approval by the City Plan Commission. <br /> Further, petitioner is requesting approval of this site for a <br /> commodity scrap processing facility and experimental manufacture <br /> of fertilizer. In accordance with applicable sections of the <br /> Zoning Ordinance, approval by the City Council is necessary for <br /> location of said uses in an M-2 Heavy Industrial District. <br /> The proposed ordinance incorporates petitioner 's request which <br /> describes the proposed operations and restricts activity <br /> therewith to the inside of the subject structure. , Also, the <br /> Building Inspection Divison and Fire Department have reviewed the <br /> proposal and recommend approval of the same . <br /> Staff recommends approval of the ordinance as presented. <br /> RAM:sat <br />
