Nothing in this Chapter shall require an owner of the leqal or <br /> equitable title to property to offer the same to the public at large <br /> before selling or renting it, or shall any provision of this Chapter <br /> be deemed to prohibit a person from giving preference to others for <br /> any reason other than those based upon color, geographical or national <br /> , ancestry nr origin, race, sex, religion, age, or handicap. <br /> 4. Nothing in this Chapter shall prohibit any person from restricting <br /> the rental of rooms in a housing accommodation to persons of one sex. <br /> 5. Nothing in this Chapter shall prohibit a religious orqanization, <br /> association, or society, or any nonprvfit institution or organizatioa <br /> operated, supervised or controlled by or in conjunction with a religious <br /> organization, association, or society, from limiting the sale, rental , <br /> or occupancy of dwellings, which it owns or operates for other than a I <br /> commercial purpose to persons of the same religion, or frnm giving I <br /> preference to such persons, unless membership in such religion is re- <br /> stricted on account of race, color, sex, national origin, age, or handicap. <br /> Nor shall anything in this Chapter prohibit a private club not in fact open <br /> to the public, which as an incident to its primary purpose or purposes <br /> provides lodgings which it owns or operates for other than a commercial <br /> purpose, from limiting the rental or occupancy of such lodgings to its <br /> members or from giving preference to its members. <br /> 6. Nothinq in this chapter shall prohibit restricting the rental or sale <br /> of a housing accommodation to a handicapped person, or person of a certain <br />
