, � <br /> � � Mr�R���� <br /> ORDINANCE N0. �l� '" �� <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING PERSONNEL ORDINANCE <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Ordinance No . 78-28 of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois , known as the Personnel Ordinance , as amended, be , and <br /> the same is hereby, further amended at Section 8-1(a) of Chapter <br /> 8 and Section 13-4 of Chapter 13 , so that as so amended said <br /> sections shall provide as follows: <br /> 8-1(a) For all full-time employees other than <br /> employees in the police service and regular shift <br /> employees of the fire service : <br /> New Year ' s Day Labor Day <br /> Martin Luther King Veteran' s Day <br /> Jr . ' s Birthday Thanksgiving Day <br /> Lincoln' s Birthday Friday after Thanksgiving <br /> Good Friday Christmas Day <br /> Memorial Day One Unscheduled Day <br /> � Independence Day <br /> 13-4 Annually, as of the anniversary date of <br /> entrg into the classified service of employees in the <br /> police or general services with the completion of five <br /> years continuous service uninterrupted by resignation <br /> or discharge , a service recognition award shall be paid <br /> each such employee at the rate of $5 .00 per year for <br /> each year of such continuous service . <br /> Section 2 . That said Ordinance No . 78-28 be , and the same <br /> is hereby, further amended by adding thereto Section 5-6 of <br /> Chapter 5 and Section 10-9 of Chapter 10, said sections to <br /> provide as follows : <br /> 5-6 . If a firefighter serves as a company officer <br /> due to the temporary absence of an officer, he shall <br /> receive a 5 percent pay increment for all time so <br /> served to a maximum of 2 hours . A Caption serving as <br /> Battalion Chief due to the temporary absence of the <br /> Battalion Chief shall receive a 5 percent pay increment <br /> for all time so served. <br />
