C� � -"�� <br /> ORDINANCE EXTENDING ABATEMENT OF MUNICIPAL <br /> RETAILER' S OCCUPATION TAX WITHIN ENTERPRISE ZONE <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS : <br /> Section l. That Ordinance No. 82-122 passed the 29th day of <br /> December, 1982 , and subsequently amended by Ordinance Nos . 85-01 <br /> and 86-40 be, and the same is hereby further amended at Sections <br /> 7 and 8 thereof so that as so amended said sections provide as <br /> follows : <br /> Section 7 . That commencing the first day of the <br /> calendar month next following the month in which said <br /> zone is certified and continuing through June 30, 1987, <br /> each retailer whose place of buainess is within the <br /> corporate limits of the City is authorized to claim <br /> credit or refund of the Municipal Retailer' s Occupation <br /> Tax of the City based upon the sale of building <br /> materials to be incorporated into real estate within � <br /> the zone by remodeling, rehabilitation or new ' <br /> construction. <br /> Section 8. That after June 30 , 1987, and annually <br /> thereafter for the term of the zone, the Council shall <br /> review the necessity, desirability and fiscal impact of <br /> such credits or rebates and may by ordinance continue <br /> or discontinue the same whichever appears to be in the <br /> better interest of the general health, safety and <br /> welfare of the City. <br /> Section 2 .
